  1. Debi~ Thank you so much for reviewing your knitting machine. The items you made look great! I think I'm going to look for one of those because I like to try new things. At times I've felt as you do - - starting a project, not wanting to finish. The beauty of crochet is that it always waits for me. Thanks to blogs like yours, I get re-inspired after a brief hiatus from my hooks! I'm 58 yrs. old & crochet has been my hobby for 35+ years.

  2. Hi Debi....I am really loving your videos!!!! Just be careful while driving. I've been watching all of them this morning and you make me laugh....your so funny! I'm just scared you are going to drive your car off the road trying to catch it from falling...but keep them coming. It's the new thing...video blogging!!!

  4. You've made some pretty things with your new toy. I like the colors in your socks. You reminded me I have a knitting loom set somewhere; it's not mechanical, just a circle with knobs on it. Three of them, actually. I'll have to look online and figure out how to use it.
I like your new video. Thanks for the tutorial on adding a granny round to the Take Two Square. I hope you don't get the crochet blahs with this project; they're no fun. Take care :-)

  5. I've had my eye on those Addi machines.... I wanted to get the bigger one to try some beanies with. I start projects I'm excited about too and then I either get side tracked on the internet or I just don't want to do them anymore. I think having a toddler adds to it though because as soon as I get in a groove I have to stop to make food or clean a mess lol I think if I was single and still had the same hobbies I'd forget to eat :P

  6. Your scarf and socks look great! Glad you're having fun with your new toy. :) Also wanted to let you know...so you don't think I'm ignoring them...I rarely watch the videos because of limited bandwidth. I'm sure they're a lot of fun, but I have to be quite careful with the bandwidth thing.

  7. I like your new toy Debi, I have one too but I haven't tried it yet, mine is supposed to be for socks, I like the things you have made with it. I enjoyed your video you made you make me laugh it's just as though we are sitting there with you. I know what you mean about starting something and then not wanting to finish it, I think the pleasure is in the anticipation and the choosing of the yarn but the doing gets boring sometimes, that's why it's good to make small things between the bigger projects then at least something gets finished. :)

  8. What better way to go than being strangled by your own crochet! :-) Love watching your videos. I haven't worked up the courage to make one yet!

  9. Your new baby blanket is pretty. I like the yarn colors you are using. The knitting machine looks neat, I'll have to look at one and see what all they can do. We are getting another snow/ice storm up here in OH. Take care. Heather

  10. Debi, LOVE the video! It's like you're having a chat with us or something.

If you figure out what happened to your crochet mojo (how you lose interest when you start a project) let me know! I often feel the same way. And I am with you: crochet should not be irritating! :)

  12. As usual, your videos cheer me up!!!!
Crocheting has not to be irritating, you are right! I think that your new toy/distraction will give you back your crochet mojo, because you just need a break from your hooks!!!!
    Have fun, xxxxxx Ale

  13. Hi Debi, your new toy is cool and the things you made with it are pretty! I think, this is a good tool for younger kids too who don't knit/crochet. I could not watch your video as my Internet was slow.

  14. Hi Debi, thanks for reviewing the knitting machine. I've looked at them before and wondered if they are worth trying but was put off by people saying about the dropped stitches.
Can you still make socks on the larger ones do you know?? What did you think of your socks, did they come out as you expected?
I hope to hear more about it as you do more with it.

Have to say, I love your video's!! Your accent is so great, I like listening to it. lol

    Enjoy your new toy!!

    1. Hi Kim. The socks I made are still not finished. I have to figure out how to finish the tops so they look presentable. I'll be looking around Youtube for that. I don't think you can make socks on the larger machine - I think that one would be best for adult size hats and scarves. :)
